You could say that Matt has been a plumber for his entire life. At 4 years old, he would go to work with his dad (also a plumber) and learned which tools were needed to fix a sink. Matt and his dad worked together every day for 30 years until, as a master plumber, Matt took over the family business, allowing his father to retire. Matt Massey built an incredible reputation for himself as owner/operator of Massey Plumbing and Heating in Denver Colorado. Matt is also a professional fisherman, spending weeks at a time at lakes on the east coast. By 2020, for a number of reasons, Colorado was becoming a less desirable location for both Matt and his wife. So, it was an easy decision when they chose to turn their St Augustine vacation house into their new full time home!
Very quickly, bass fishing really did become a full time “job”; unless he was fishing for Reds on the intercoastal. But Matt was used to working for a living, so it didn’t take long before he noticed a common theme being discussed among neighbors & family. While the new home development is exploding, once you actually become a homeowner in the area, finding an experienced professional to work on or make repairs to your home, can be almost impossible. Knowing he had a valuable skill to contribute, Matt decided to get his Florida Plumbing license and First Coast Home Solutions, LLC (dba First Coast Plumbing and Gas) was born. His goal is to deliver the same exceptional service and high quality work that customers have relied on for over 30 years. And with his wife Theresa running the office, you can expect the organizational match to Matt’s professionalism and integrity in the field. Matt will still fish in his tournaments every couple of months, (He tours with the National Professional Fishing League) but now there will be someone to answer the phones while he’s away! Go Matt!
